What's the latest on Bitcoin in Cyprus? They were on such a solid track (1st ATM, 1st Uni to accept BTC etc.)

I'm visiting Cyprus for a few days and was looking for any signs of local bitcoiners. I have friends who I've gotten excited about BTC within the startup community but there seems to be no local btc community to plug them in to.
There are a few dots on coinmap.org and I see the University of Nicosia has an MSc Digital Currencies (distance learning) program and also accepts BTC as payment. Beyond this though, there seems to be no sign of any sort of local community. Did it all implode after that whole Neo & Bee fiasco?
